Why Aranyani?
Many of you might be wondering what/who is Aranyani. In the Hindu Mythology, Aranyani is the goddess of forests and animals. She has been mentioned in the Vedas (the sacred religious texts of India), and has been described as elusive, fond of quiet glades in the jungle, and fearless of remote places. In the modern age her importance has declined, however, there are a few temples in India built for her.
Taking inspiration from her stories and, not to mention the beautiful name, I decided to give my site this title.

About Me

Greetings!
I am Tanisha, a teenager, from Mumbai. As you might have figured out by now, I love nature and the outdoors. My love for traveling and photography comes hand in hand because of my outdoorsy nature. Like all teenagers out there I love music. I won’t exactly call myself a bookworm, as I don’t read a lot of books at one time, however reading is one of my hobbies. I love all fictional books, so you can count me in as one of the fangirls over fictional books. I love to draw and paint, especially on canvases. I love all animals, however, dogs are the dearest and near to my heart. I am lucky enough to have a lovely little boxer puppy whose name is Bolt and is a bundle of joy.

I have lived in the city my entire life, but I still don’t feel connected here. That is the main reason why being alone in nature is almost essential for me. I can clear my thoughts, think straight, and most importantly, breathe freely. My wanderlust will take over soon and my backpack and I are more than eager to explore this amazing 3rd rock from the sun which we call Earth. :)

Stay tuned for some of my memorable journeys so far.
